Programs

The Horace Park District offers different activities for youth and adults throughout the summer! For additional information including dates and registration fees, please visit our Online Registration system. If you do not see a program listed in the online registration, this program is either full or the registration deadline has passed.

If you are Horace resident and in need of financial assistance for a program, please fill out the Scholarship Form to see if you are eligible for a scholarship to be used towards reduced registration fees.

All program registration will be done virtually through the new online registration system. Paper forms are no longer available. Payment is due at the time of registration. Please message us with any questions.

Youth


  • Arts and Crafts

    These single session programs offer a variety of art and craft projects to inspire creativity! Our goal is to provide an experience that will allow each participant to explore their imagination while having fun and offering social interaction. 

  • Baseball/T-Ball

    Learn the basics of batting, base running, catching, and throwing in this instructional program! Through game play and activities, participants will focus on skills, coordination, and fundamental rules. 

  • Basketball

    Dribble, shoot, and rebound with the Horace Park District! Participants will have an opportunity to hit the court and learn more about basketball and sportsmanship. Each day will bring different activities and drills to help you work on your game. Participants will also scrimmage.

  • Flag Football

    TOUCHDOWN! This recreational flag football opportunity is for participants to enjoy America’s favorite sport. Players will be physically active through various drills and no-contact scrimmages while learning the basics of football. 

  • Pickleball

    Are you ready to learn how to play the fastest growing sport in America?! Pickleball combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. This clinic will cover all the basics including equipment, scoring, and rules on and off the court. 

  • Soccer

    Everyone gets a kick out of soccer! The Horace Park District’s soccer program focuses on learning about the game and developing basic skills. From drills to no-contact scrimmaging, this recreation program is a great way to build confidence and practice teamwork.

  • Spikeball

    Time to spike your way to the championship! Come join the Horace Park District to experience our NEWEST league. In this fun and exciting game, participants will use their tactical skills to beat the competition. 

  • Sports Samplers

    Do your kids want to join a sport but don’t know which one they like? This program is perfect! Participants will learn basic rules and skills of various sports such as football, baseball, soccer, basketball, and more! This program encourages young athletes through friendly competition.

    Time to get back on the court for our outdoor 3v3 basketball league! Grab some friends and assemble your team. 

  • Pickleball
